We find no rest for our weary bones unless we cling to the word of grace [which is God’s unending love through Jesus].
— Martin Luther

What We Believe

We believe that only through God's divine mercy, through Jesus Christ, all people of every race, age and tribe are saved. We receive forgiveness, salvation and much more through Him. It is God's true Word, in the Bible, that stands as our guiding rule and norm for our faith and life. Through the Bible, God makes us aware of sin, fills us with faith in Jesus, and guides us in living our lives.

We confess this

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
      creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
      He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
      was crucified, died, and was buried;
      he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
      He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
      the holy Christian church,
      the communion of saints,
      the forgiveness of sins,
      the resurrection of the body,
      and the life everlasting. Amen.

We want to make sure you know what to expect if this is your first time joining us at Resurrection on a Sunday morning. Below is a brief description of what you will experience, and also a little bit more about who we are.

Worship - 9:30am

For WORSHIP, you can expect a traditional Christian worship experience. What that means is we sing several hymns (songs) together, and follow a Christian order of service. While the components of the service may change, the main structure will stay the same. This is a great opportunity for all generations to be together in one space as we join together in worship.

Bible Study - 10:45am

For BIBLE STUDY, you can expect an opportunity to ask any questions you may have, in a group setting. The environment is very casual and you are not expected to have any prior knowledge of previous conversations or discussion. We desire to provide an environment where people of all levels and all ages can participate. (Best suited for high school or older)

Sunday School - 10:45am

For SUNDAY SCHOOL, children will be led to a classroom where they are taught by our wonderful Sunday school teachers in an environment and at a level conducive for them to explore God's Word. It will be in another area of the building were they can laugh, make noise, and have fun. (For children of all ages.)

Parking: While Our address is 2495 Cabrillo Ave., our parking lot is located off Hoover drive.
